Wine Tuesday

Wine Tuesday

This week, Wine Corner focuses on the Savatiano grape. An indigenous variety of the Attica region and Greece’s most widely planted grape, the Savatiano vine is known for its resistance to drought conditions. This grape brings out textural flavours, citrus-tinged, yet has a balanced finish. This type of grape goes beautifully with any seafood dish, octopus anyone?

Don’t miss out on trying some delightful Savatianos on Wine Tuesday. All day, every Tuesday our wine list is available at retail price when you dine with us. Savatiano all round!

Weekend Beers

It’s almost the weekend and we’ve got your beer selection covered. Sit back and crack open one (or maybe two) of our selection of Greek beers. Our first beer, Nissos Pilsner 5%, is an unpasteurized beer that is brewed and bottled in very small quantities in the Cycladic island of Tinos. It is made from a combination of specialty malts, aromatic hops and yeast of the highest quality. With its rich golden color and a spicy herbal-citrusy fragrant aroma, it is paired wonderfully with a nice seared lamb.

Our second featured weekend beer, the Septem honey golden ale 6.5%, is a fresh unpasteurized double fermented beer with Greek orange blossom and flowery honey. We’d recommend you enjoy this smooth bitter beer with a tasty Greek charcuterie platter.

Last, but certainly not least, try the Marea Pale Ale 5.4%, double malt ale from five grains: barley, oat, wheat, rice and maize. This beer has got a full taste and scent of citrus and dry fruits. We recommend trying this one alongside a short-cut Kritharaki pasta dish topped off with your favourite ragu.
