Celebrate Greek Easter at The Greek Larder – Sunday 1st May

April 25, 2016

This year, Greek Easter Sunday falls on 1st May – it’s a huge celebration of the resurrection of Christ, just as Easter was celebrated by Western Christian churches a few weeks ago. The reasons for the difference in dates can be somewhat complicated, but simply put, it’s to do with the Greek Orthodox use of the Julian calendar (Western churches use the Gregorian calendar) and Orthodox adherence to some ancient practices of the Christian Church.

It’s one of the most important festivals in the Greek calendar, so we are going all out on 1st May!

We will have a special set menu available all day on Sunday, details are below. The menu is priced at £38 per person.

Pavlos Melas & The London Greek Collective will also be with us to celebrate with their take on traditional Greek music. It’s sure to be a party!

Call us on 020 3780 2999 to book your table, or book online. Efharisto
